Akzo Nobel - Chemicals
AKZO Nobel, in Vilvoorde, was moving to a new warehouse building and on that occasion introduced SAP's standard RF solution. The warehouse information/product flows were revisited and the concept of SUM (Storage Unit Management) was introduced for pallet label scanning. The result is a warehouse that operates paperlessly, using SAP's RF monitor as central coordination tool. AKZO Nobel uses Symbol hardware and the SAPConsole's synchronous interface. In addition to SAP's standard RF solution, fixed and mobile barcode printing are part of the picture. The RF programs were adapted for mobile label printing. The software reconfiguration and the installation was realised as a project, coordinated and realised by SAPSTROOM.
